A Milestone

Yesterday my daughter graduated from college.

She graduated number one in her class in her major (architecture). Here is a photo of her giving her speech (click for larger photo; I’m sorry it’s a little blurry).

Here is a photo of the two of us. She’s just a tad taller than me (and no, I’m not short—I’m almost 5′6″).

She is going to intern next and then on to grad school.

Ah, yes, I am so very proud of her.  And not only for her academic achievements. She truly is a beautiful soul. I am so, so blessed.

And speaking of blessings . . .

Here is a blessing meme. Jan so kindly blessed me and I am passing it on. The point is to bless and pray for three fellow bloggers, and they do the same. Seeing how most memes are about one’s self, it is refreshing to see one about the other. The blessing meme was started by ukok. Here is the description:

The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you recieve a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!

It was changed from blessing one friend to three, in case some people do not do it.

So! I bless . . . Diane, Painter and Kirsten.

Guess what I”m doing? After eight years of playing my music from computers, I am finally getting around to importing my Christmas CDs. Talk about slooooow. Or lazy.
