Thought I’d qualify my “hard to read” statement, above, realizing that it could be taken to mean that it’s challenging intellectually, which it is not, in my opinion. It is, however, difficult to read because of the misunderstandings between the protagonists (one of which, you could argue, becomes an antagonist by the end), and because of the plight of the Mexican characters.
