There’s also a Ron Mason who was a college ice hockey coach. (Former boss was a huge ice hockey fan.)

How annoying, though. It’s one thing to corner public figures, but another to get in the face of ordinary folks. I’m sure they do it because they know people will say no if asked first, but still.

I guess he’s a pretty minor figure in film, had something to do with Star Trek (maybe?). I don’t know, I looked it up then promptly forgot. I don’t think it’s an oops Charlotte.

DO, I agree—it wasn’t fair—they already had the camera going before they asked!

YM, we think so much alike! I had the same idea, but then I thought, it’s such an ordinary name that a lot of people probably DO know a Ron Mason!

Maybe Ron Mason is a made-up person and they were trying to see if anyone would claim to know him.

I used to teach film studies, but Ron Mason? No idea. Oops!?
